Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 May 2026
4Pi respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use 4piproductions.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We've kept it as plain as we can — if anything's unclear, just ask.
Who we are
This website is operated by 4Pi Productions UK Limited ("4Pi", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08686986. We also operate under the name CULTVR. We are the "data controller" responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
Registered office: 13 Hanover Street, Canton, Cardiff, CF5 1LS, United Kingdom.
Studio & correspondence: 327 Penarth Road, Cardiff, CF11 8TT, United Kingdom.
Email: hello@4piproductions.com
We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under reference ZB121758.
What information we collect
- When you contact us — your name, email address, and whatever you write in the subject and message fields of our contact form.
- When you subscribe to our newsletter — your email address. This is handled by Mailchimp, and only if you choose to sign up.
- When you allow analytics cookies — anonymous usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser). We only collect this if you opt in via our cookie banner.
- Automatically — standard server logs (such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your request) kept by our host for security and troubleshooting, plus a spam-prevention check on the contact form (Cloudflare Turnstile).
How we use it, and our lawful basis

Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. We only set non-essential (analytics) cookies if you opt in. You can change your choice any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
| Cookie | Purpose | Provider | Type | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cc_cookie | Remembers your cookie choices | 4Pi (CookieConsent) | Necessary | 6 months |
| __cf_bm | Spam/bot protection on the contact form | Cloudflare | Necessary | 30 minutes |

Embedded media. We embed videos from Vimeo and YouTube. Vimeo is loaded in privacy ("Do Not Track") mode and YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, so they don't set tracking cookies when a page loads — though if you press play, the provider may then set its own cookies. Our contact page also embeds a Google Map, which may set Google cookies when the page loads.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing. We do rely on a small set of trusted service providers ("processors") to run the site and our operations:
- Hostpoint (Switzerland) — web hosting and delivery of contact-form emails.
- Google (Ireland / USA) — Google Analytics (only with your consent) and Google Maps.
- Cloudflare (USA / global) — bot and spam protection (Turnstile).
- Vimeo and YouTube / Google (USA) — hosting the videos we embed.
- Mailchimp (USA) — sending our newsletter, if you subscribe.
- Adobe (USA) — serving one of our display fonts (Adobe Fonts), which may receive your IP address.
- Sanity (USA / global) — delivering images and content.
We may also disclose data where we're required to by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
Sending data outside the UK
Some of these providers are based outside the UK (mainly the USA). When your data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as UK adequacy decisions (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or Standard Contractual Clauses — so your data keeps a similar level of protection to that it has in the UK.
How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries: up to 24 months after we last hear from you — unless we end up working together, in which case for as long as that relationship needs.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe (there's a link in every email).
- Analytics: up to 14 months.
- Server logs: a short period set by our host, for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the data we hold about you (access);
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- ask us to delete your data (erasure);
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
- receive your data in a portable format (portability);
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it (this won't affect anything we did before you withdrew it).
To exercise any of these, email hello@4piproductions.com. It's free, and we'll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the ICO:
Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF · ico.org.uk · 0303 123 1113
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data safe. No method of transmission over the internet is ever 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.
Children
This website isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top, so it's worth checking back occasionally.
