We have developed a Digital Storytelling course and have been teaching remotely young people aged 16 to 25 for the Get Started programme by Prince’s Trust, providing young people with a platform to tell their stories of lockdown using immersive technology. The Digital Storytelling programme, which was supported by Welsh Water and Google.org, allowed participants to experiment with different storytelling techniques and to hear first-hand from a board number of guest lecturers who gave glimpses into their own experiences of working within the sector. They were then challenged to use their new found skills to create a response to the pandemic through a creative medium of their choice. The resulting artworks included animation, photography, film, music and multimedia were then curated by 4Pi Productions into three digital interactive exhibitions at real world Wales’ cultural venues: CULTVR Lab in Cardiff, Pontio in Bangor and Tŷ Pawb in Wrexham.
