In 2016 Cardiff hosted British Dance Edition for the first time in its history after a successful bid by our friends at Coreo Cymru. We helped in this process by producing promotional video collateral in their bid to host this biennial event renowned for presenting the best of British dance to promoters and producers from the UK and across the globe.

The 2016 event consisted of 30 performances by 36 leading UK dance artists and companies. Hosting British Dance Edition represented an unprecedented occasion in the Welsh performing arts calendar with over 600 promoters, performers and producers attending the event.

Having helped to bring the event here to Wales, 4Pi Productions were then commissioned to create an online BDE channel and live stream to help audiences who couldn’t attend to access the programme.  With Marc Rees and Kitsch & Sync as the live presenters, 4pi live broadcast continuous activity throughout the four days of the event. This enabled online audiences to watch the most exciting shows live,  mixed with interviews with directors, dance practitioners and the attending audiences of the festival.
