Artes Mundi is Wales’ biggest and most exciting contemporary visual art exhibition and the largest art prize in the UK.
Artes Mundi 7 featured the work of six ground-breaking artists from across Europe, North America, Africa and the Middle East. Each of the shortlisted artists explores social issues which relate to the theme of ‘The Human Condition’. The shortlist was selected by a panel of three international curators, Élise Atangana, Alistair Hudson and Marie Muracciole who carefully scrutinised over 800 nominations before narrowing the list down to six names.
