Immersive installation at the National Museum of Qatar

Overview

In 2023, 4Pi Productions was commissioned to create content for an immersive installation for the exhibition Growing Kopi, Drinking Qahwa at the National Museum of Qatar, in collaboration with the National Museum of Indonesia. As part of the Qatar–Indonesia Year of Culture, the project aimed to celebrate the shared appreciation for hospitality and coffee rituals between the two nations.

We captured a fully immersive experience documenting the coffee-making process in Indonesia, from plantation to cup, highlighting the landscapes, people and traditions behind this cultural staple. The immersive film was displayed in a bespoke cylindrical installation that seamlessly integrated interior and exterior 360° videos, timelapses, motion graphics and 4K footage. The installation offered audiences a unique opportunity to explore and engage with both nations’ cultural traditions, lifestyles and shared stories.
